guo and flowers have also paid a heavy price for their refusal to apologize. they have fallen out of favour with fans and are exhausted by the stress.

fortunately, flowers have accepted their mistakes and are starting afresh. we believe if guo followed suit he would find that issuing an apology would be a great relief (解脱). he could then focus his undoubted talent on writing a new book.

we can all learn a lesson from this. never hesitate to say sorry once you realize you are in the wrong. then you can learn from your mistakes and move on with your life.
