now, europeans will have their own reason to watch the games too: the young level-headed (头脑冷静的) italian player andrea bargnani will be playing soon.
bargnani, who was born in 1985, became this year's top nba draft in june. he's the first european player ever to do this. you will be albe to watch his cool play for the toronto raptors (多伦多猛龙队), this coming nba season.
"you have to show your skills on the court during the season," bargnani once said about himself. "a player can be picked in a lottery, but if he doesn't have good attitude or skills, he will never become a good nba player. i prefer facts, not words."

"changes don't scare me much. but it's really another world, another culture and a different type of basketball," he said.

"i need to work on all areas. one of the most important things is staying focused all game long. i'm trying to become stronger and quicker, too. i try to take it step by step," bargnani said.
