近义词---wait,await

wait(v.)----“等候”，“等待”。指某事发生之前停留在原地，不采取行动。
            通常此词作为不及物动词而和for连用。
await(v.)----“等候”，“期待”。书面语。特指对于断定必来的人或事的不断的期待。后接受词。
例：we can wait here until he comes.
