and solomon made affinity with pharaoh king of egypt， and took pharaoh's daughter， and brought her into the city of david， until he had made an end of building his own house， and the house of the lord， and the wall of jerusalem round about.
3：2 当那些日子，百姓仍在邱坛献祭，因为还没有为耶和华的名建殿。
only the people sacrificed in high places， because there was no house built unto the name of the lord， until those days.
3：3 所罗门爱耶和华，遵行他父亲大卫的律例，只是还在邱坛献祭烧香。
and solomon loved the lord， walking in the statutes of david his father： only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places.
3：4 所罗门王上基遍去献祭。因为在那里有极大（或作出名）的邱坛，他在那坛上献一千牺牲作燔祭。
and the king went to gibeon to sacrifice there； for that was the great high place： a thousand burnt offerings did solomon offer upon that altar.
3：5 在基遍，夜间梦中，耶和华向所罗门显现，对他说，你愿我赐你什么。你可以求。
in gibeon the lord appeared to solomon in a dream by night： and god said， ask what i shall give thee.
3：6 所罗门说，你仆人我父亲大卫用诚实，公义，正直的心行在你面前，你就向他大施恩典，又为他存留大恩，赐他一个儿子坐在他的位上，正如今日一样。
and solomon said， thou hast shewed unto thy servant david my father great mercy， according as he walked before thee in truth， and in righteousness， and in uprightness of heart with thee； and thou hast kept for him this great kindness， that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne， as it is this day.
3：7 耶和华我的神阿，如今你使仆人接续我父亲大卫作王。但我是幼童，不知道应当怎样出入。
and now， o lord my god， thou hast made thy servant king instead of david my father： and i am but a little child： i know not how to go out or come in.
3：8 仆人住在你所拣选的民中，这民多得不可胜数。
and thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen， a great people， that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
3：9 所以求你赐我智慧，可以判断你的民，能辨别是非。不然，谁能判断这众多的民呢。
give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people， that i may discern between good and bad： for who is able to judge this thy so great a people？
3：10 所罗门因为求这事，就蒙主喜悦。
and the speech pleased the lord， that solomon had asked this thing.
3：11 神对他说，你既然求这事，不为自己求寿，求富，也不求灭绝你仇敌的性命，单求智慧可以听讼，and god said unto him， because thou hast asked this thing， and hast not asked for thyself long life； neither hast asked riches for thyself， nor hast asked the life of thine enemies； but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment；
3：12 我就应允你所求的，赐你聪明智慧，甚至在你以前没有像你的，在你以后也没有像你的。
behold， i have done according to thy words： lo， i have given thee a wise and an understanding heart； so that there was none like thee before thee， neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
3：13 你所没有求的，我也赐给你，就是富足，尊荣，使你在世的日子，列王中没有一个能比你的。
and i have also given thee that which thou hast not asked， both riches， and honour： so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
3：14 你若效法你父亲大卫，遵行我的道，谨守我的律例，诫命，我必使你长寿。
and if thou wilt walk in my ways， to keep my statutes and my commandments， as thy father david did walk， then i will lengthen thy days.
