6．介词与介词短语
对介词和介词短语的测试也是四级考试中常见的内容。常考的介词 有：to, by, in, on, for, with, to, of, during, behind, about, over, except, besides, among, between, under, beneath, despite, within, without, etc.
考生除了应掌握这些介词的基本用法以外，还应该注意到一些介词的特殊用法。例如，by +数字，表示增长或减少的程度；over用于表示争执的动词或名词后面，一般表示原因。
分词式介词（短语 ）：given, including , concerning, owing to，etc.
常见的介词短语和介词+名词搭配 有:
at : at hand, at least, at times
by : by accident, by the way , by means of, by way of
for : for a change, for sale, for the sake of
in : in brief, in public, in view of , in addition to, in respect of, in comparison with, in charge of， in the light of
off : off duty, off the point, off school
on : on account of, on credit, on guard, on purpose of, on account of, on behalf of, on the ground of
out of : out of danger, out of fashion, out of touch
to : to advantage, to a great extent, to the point
under : under control, under repair, under suspicion
up to : up to date
within : within reach, within one’s income
with : with regard to, with respect to, together with , with the exception of
without: without a delay, without a doubt

as for （ 至于），apart from（除了…之外），because of，regardless of, contrary to, prior to, instead of, thanks to, despite, during, etc.
