the group was broken up in jan. 2005. by then, the group had earned 1.7 million yuan in illegal profits from over 990 students in more than 200 chinese cities and 19 provinces. high officials of the central government have paid close attention to the case, and the ministry of public security established a special investigation group to solve the case.
