unit 2 my days of  the week

1．            本单元学习星期单词。一周有七天。它们是： sunday（星期日），

   monday（星期一），tuesday（星期二），wednesday（星期三），

 thursday（星期四），friday（星期五） saturday（星期六），缩略形式分别是：sun. /mon. /tue. /wed. /thu. /fri. /sat. 由单词的前三个字母加缩小符号（.）组成。注意单词的第一个字母要大写。

2．            学校课程有： chinese()，english（），math（）

music()     p.e.(体育)    science()   art()

computer(电脑)  moral education (思想品德) 

social  studies ( 社会课)

3.do homework 做作业   do housework 做家务

4. what day is it today? 今天星期几?

  以what day 开头提问 “星期” 的特殊疑问句,其答语为:

“it’s + 星期几” 或 “ today is+ 星期几”

如: it’s monday.  today ismonday.

 what day is it today?  也可以用 what day is it?或what day is today?来表示.

5. we have chinese on wednesdays.我们星期三上课.

介词on 在这里表示“在…时候”的意思。在“星期”之前用介词on。

注意： in ，on，at 都有“在….”的意思，后面都可以加上表示时间的词。in加上表示“一段时间”的词，如 in the morning, in a week, in spring(春天)等等。at 加上表示“一点时间”的词，如 at 8：00，

at 9：10 等等。on 加上表示“具体日期”的词。如：on sunday,

on monday morning , on jan. 1^st (在一月一日)等等。

6.      what do you have on fridays? 星期五你/ 你们上什么课？

其答语为：we have + 课程名称

“do” 在句子中做助动词，没有实义。

7．            what do you do on saturdays? 星期六你/ 你们干什么？

  其答语为：we （often） + 所作的事情。

  第一个“do”在句子中做助动词，没有实义，第二个“do”在句子中是实义动词，意思是“做”

8．            mother’s  day is the second sunday in may.

母亲节在五月的第二个星期日。

            father’s day is the third sunday in june.

父亲节在六月的第三个星期日。

．            in america, thanksgiving day is the fourth thursday in november.

     在美国，感恩节在十一月的第四个星期四。

     in canada, thanksgiving day is the second monday in october.

     在加拿大，感恩节在十月的第二个星期一。

    感恩节是美国人民的全国性假日，也是美国国定假日中最地道，最美国式的节日。他们在宴席上摆满了食物和火鸡，来感谢上帝的恩赐。人们在感恩节可以吃到苹果、橘子、栗子、胡桃和葡萄，还有葡萄干布丁、碎肉馅饼以及各种其他食物，其中最吸引人的主菜是烤火鸡和南瓜馅饼，这些菜一直是感恩节中最富于传统意义和最多人喜爱的食品。
